The perils of picking a book title / And a queue outside Waterstones

(Click on the image to see it full size)

So I was having my every-so-often Skype conversation with my old mate Luc from Madrid the other night and he told me I should probably use some positive adjectives next time I’m selecting a book title.

He sent me the image above to explain what he meant. (See the yellow highlighted bit.)

In other news I’ve just come back from a long afternoon spent working in the café at Waterstones in Piccadilly. This was up on floor five. And meanwhile down on floor one there was a queue forming of the variety that you don’t much see in bookshops any more.

It started on the first floor.

And went all the way down to the front door.

And then off down the street.

Oh. Yes. It’d be EL James. Very good to see that books aren’t quite dead yet.
